VP Finish’s Cadmium Plating is a legacy finish that provides a highly durable finish for marine, military, aerospace and other industrial and environmental applications that require extreme corrosion resistance, especially in saltwater environments. It also does not exhibit galvanic corrosion when mated with aluminum and provides good solderability and lubricity. Our non-cyanide acid based Cadmium Plating is an electrolytic process that deposits cadmium on various metal substrates. Although the use of this finish has fallen out of favor across many industries over the years, we stand committed to providing this coating for all your legacy parts as well as any new designs.
