VP Finish’s Zinc Nickel Plating is a highly durable finish for marine, military, aerospace and other industrial and environmental applications that require extreme corrosion resistance, especially in saltwater environments. Because of it’s reduced environmental impact, Zinc Nickel is often a suitable replacement for application that historically required Cadmium Plating. Our alkaline Zinc Nickel electrolytic process deposits a single layer of Zinc alloyed with Nickel on many metal substrates.

Types
Chromates & Sealers
With the addition of one of our supplemental Chromates, the corrosion resistance of our Zinc Nickel Plating is significantly improved. The most typically requested chromate is our standard Clear Chromate that provides a high level of corrosion protection. When a black finish is desired, our Black Zinc Chromate provides a deeply uniform, highly pleasing black for increased corrosion resistance and improved aesthetic as compared to the more traditional Black Zinc Plating alone. In addition, when any of the our chromates are coupled with our Chromate Sealer, corrosion resistance is tremendously increased. Our various chromates provide different levels of corrosion resistance and are RoHS compliant:
